Hispania Activos Inmobiliarios, was created in 2014 and up to the first quarter of 2019 was listed in the Spanish stock exchange market.
During the Azora’s management of Hispania, the Company specialized in real estate investments in hotels, offices and residential.
It was created as a company with an investment period which concluded in December 2017 and a maximum divestment period until March 2020, although in July 2018 Blackstone executed a takeover bid over Hispania acquiring the company.
As of year-end 2018 Hispania was the largest owner of keys in Spain with more than 13,100 keys distributed in 46 hotels, with special focus on the holiday segment.
Most of the hotels are managed by renowned operators under long-term lease contracts.
In the office segment, as of the end of 2018, Hispania had more than 156,000 sqm of gross leasable area distributed in 25 buildings in Madrid and Barcelona. It also has a development almost complete where another 33,000 sqm were being built in Madrid under Leed Platino specifications.
Finally, Hispania manages a residential portfolio under rent. This portfolio consists of five buildings, four in Madrid and one in Barcelona, with a more than 550 homes as of year-end 2018.
Hispania’s total asset value as of 31st December 2018 was €2,900, distributed among hotels (69%), offices (23%) and residential (8%).
